Local Camera Systems (LCS) are designed for surveillance in outdoor areas, buildings, and secured premises. They are used for guarding critical infrastructure or monitoring specialized industrial processes.

LCS can be integrated into the Urban Camera System (MCS). The system is fully compatible with MCS through the unified Geutebruck recording platform. The entire setup is operated from a multifunctional monitoring center. Surveillance of the LKS is also provided by MCS clients — namely, the Police of the Czech Republic and the Municipal Police — and in crisis situations, other Integrated Rescue System (IRS) users may be granted access as well.

An LCS that is not integrated into the MCS does not require such high technical specifications for cameras or signal transmission quality. A variety of recording units can be selected based on price, quality, performance, or intended use. However, recordings can only be stored for up to 3 days and cannot be used as evidence in criminal investigations. Furthermore, such recordings are not shared with emergency services in accordance with municipal standards.
