Municipal Camera Systems

Urban Camera Systems (MCS) integrate video feeds from cameras deployed across cities for various purposes. These systems provide access to camera data for municipal and state authorities (through multifunctional monitoring centers), and in some cases, for the public via the internet.

The MCS was originally developed as a standalone, closed system without the need for integration with external systems. Over time, in response to customer demands, we have integrated additional systems into the MCS. A key advantage of this extended system is the ability to share information between subsystems. This allows for the integration of surveillance and detection cameras from the municipal transportation company, traffic and speed cameras, and cameras operated by individual city districts.

Today, the MCS represents a robust solution capable of managing thousands of cameras. During incident response, the system enables access to both live video feeds and recorded footage. According to applicable legislation, only the Czech Police and Municipal Police are authorized to access the recorded footage.

By integrating additional monitoring stations into the MCS, our clients — including the Czech Police, Municipal Police, Emergency Medical Services, Fire and Rescue Services, and Regional Crisis Management Centers — can extend their oversight to other public areas. Camera recordings can be stored for up to 30 days (with approval from the Office for Personal Data Protection, ÚOOÚ). Access to camera feeds is governed by the rights and priorities defined and approved by the ÚOOÚ. For third-party clients, images are distributed via secure access.

We offer a comprehensive solution and full delivery of MCS tailored to your specific needs.
